And for some reason or another, i keep thinking about what happened a week ago. Probably it was the best camp i've ever been to. I miss the council camp. A week already has oast, but the memmories are still fresh. (:

Maths, did i question and time was up! LOL. It really zoomed by alright, because the class was unteachable, so alot of time was spent on scolding? And the next thing, the lesson has ended, And for lunch, off i go.
Just ate a sandwich and off to lit after some doing nothing periods. Haha, first group to present. Too much to say, okay, any comments?? tag it!
Then after lit went to the library with YingYng, and 199999 people has already reserved the boookk! I'll get it in december i guess?? LOL. Bought a cashcard to pay for the reservation and all the other stuff, because i didn't want to use my ez-link as need to keep topping up. Haha. And inside the cash card has 70cents only. LOLLL.

A homeless woman, writing a blog about her experiences of living in a car, has now signed a book deal with a major publisher and is nominated for a media award.
A few weeks ago, Anya Peters was homeless and living in a car, hanging around the places where she could wash and eat and keep herself looking respectable. Her contact with the outside world was through an online diary.
But this blog, published under the name of Wandering Scribe, was picked up by readers around the world and has provided a remarkable way out of her homelessness. She has written her own escape story.
The story of her homelessness and her previous life is going to be turned into a book, with a publishing deal signed and the hardback scheduled to reach the bookshops next Spring.
In the space of a hectic few days, Anya Peters was taken on by Curtis Brown, one of the biggest literary agencies in London - and the subsequent book proposal sparked a bidding battle between publishers - eventually won by Harper Collins.
Still living in her car, she found herself in the surreal position of being homeless and taking calls offering her book deals, with reports about her blog appearing in papers such as the New York Times and Le Monde.
First bath
The blog itself has now been nominated for a media award run by the New Statesman magazine.
"It still feels like a dream - it's completely turned around," she says.
And she has finally parked up. This weekend, after nine months living in a car, she moved back into rented accommodation. Although the publishers say the amount paid for the book is confidential, it's been enough to set Anya Peters back on her feet again.
But despite anticipating a perfect first night in a house again - "warm, scented bath, Beethoven on in the background, a glass of something" - she says that it didn't quite work out that way. Her stuff was still in the car, she felt unsettled and disorientated after her long stretch living outside.
"I have the privacy that I have craved all these months. It is the strangest feeling though ...So far I have mostly just wanted to run out of the place. It is too warm and I can't breathe or recognise all the unfamiliar smells or sounds, and nothing feels like mine yet."
Despite the first-night nerves, she is delighted by the upturn in her fortunes.
Writing in her blog, she said: "Not sure if I'm dreaming this or not...but I think Lady Luck just came strolling down my laneway, rolling her big, shiny dice. Words have come clattering to a stop, and all I can do for now is smile."
Since last summer, Anya Peters had been part of the "hidden homeless", showing no outward signs of sleeping rough in her car each night and without any contact with other homeless people or housing advisers.
Agents of change
Surreptitiously using facilities such as showers in hospitals and computers in libraries, she maintained both her public appearance and her communication with the outside world through her online diary.
This Wandering Scribe blog, which reported both the practicalities of homelessness and the emotional reaction to her circumstances, struck a chord with readers - with thousands following the diary.
It also caught the attention of literary agent, Camilla Hornby at Curtis Brown, who contacted Anya to talk about the idea of a book about her life.
"We're often approached by people with blogs, but they don't usually translate into a book. Here was an account of the everyday details of being homeless - and it was written in very beautiful prose, it inhabited another realm.
"I wanted to know more about the glimpses of her past life - and why this articulate woman was living in a car like this."
Publishers Harper Collins are expecting the book to appeal strongly to the big market for stories about overcoming tough experiences - the so-called "misery memoir" - and are confident it will be in the top 10.
The success of the Wandering Scribe blog also highlights the shifting relationship between new media and traditional publishing - and how the book market is trying to tap into the vast potential of an online audience.
Second chance
Even if the book becomes a top 10 chart topper, for a hardback that can mean only selling five hundred copies a week - while the Wandering Scribe blog has averaged 11,000 readers per week since March. And the BBC News Magazine story about her clocked up more than 200,000 readers.
While the prestige might lie with the publishers, the numbers are driving in a different direction. And the blog will continue - keeping up the next instalments for a regular readership who have followed her story.
But as homelessness recedes and the book looms, it will inevitably raise questions about the boundary line between her blog as an online diary and a marketing tool.

"I don't ever want it to happen again. I didn't have the security net of people and relationships before when things went wrong. I'll never try to do it on my own again. This is a fantastic second chance."
Today was a good day, only because i liked the ending. Haha.

Started off with Assembly, this time at FormTeacher's homeroom. Then i was asking everyone around, 'eh, where's 3Faith's homeroom?' Till a kindsoul told me where, :D
Then argh, i hated all the periods before recess because all tests. 5 TESTS IN THE END. IS THIS HUMAN? :((((.
Okay, MT first. When she suddenly shouted, i jumped, literally. Not out of my seat or anything, but i still jumped. It was real loud alright, and just a few steps away from my ears. :(. And then i was like praying so hard that she won't ask me what she just said, not because i didn't pay attention but because, when she shouted and i jumped, i forgot everything she said. Plus, i didn't at all understand what she was talking about.
Next was POA. The quiz was managable. :D
Then Biology. It was difficult alright.
Chem next, Don't you get it, all the tests were backtoback. CHEM WAS EVEN WORSE THAN BIO. :(((. I hope my bio would pull my marks up, for science. Because my chemisty is :o But bio's nice and quite alright.
Then recess. With the clique again, (:

English. We were laughing like as if there was something real funny, but we realised that it was someone from my class that kept prank calling Sarah and treathen her. But when we both found out who, it was supeerrr funny. And the passage we had to do for English was hilarious too. It was about V'day when it was over like 14 days ago. HAHA. But still, interesting.
Tuition is starting in 45 minutes, need to finish up tamil work, and i can carry on reading reader's digest, and be free for tomorrow. :DDDDDD

See i was a good friend/classmate, since no bother cared to help to take the CD for her and her worksheet, i bothered, and i took it to pass it to HowTeng. :D
Friday - 22nd Feb& 23rd Feb Reached school a little erlier and tried to stuff all the things i had into the locker. Thank God, with Dharishini's help, i did not have to carry any extra books around, except for my file. Haha. Started off with Assembly. No morning duty today as it was Guides Day and the Guides took over the flag raising. Booohoo. Okay, whatever. Timetable started. And the first period was English in the pinky classroom. :D Did the comprehension and half way through, Miss Chye got sooooo angry with our class. Never before did this happen. :o Then it was POA. Carried on with the worksheet with a noisy background, :/ Finally POA ended and then headed for Chem for 30 minutes, before leaving for Council Investiture. Council Investiture. I think this investiture is even more memmorable to me compared to last year, even though last year, i received my badge. I helped with the award stuff. It was alright... I just wasn't used to standing up straight almost everytime. But i did it well, i hope! :D Then school ended, refreshments started. HAD to eat the refreshments. LOL. Then had a shock of my life, :/ Okay,whatever.
Decided to skip CCA and come home and get a few things, ate lunch, bathed, and headed back to school at 3.30. Camp started a little later. Miss Foo prayed at the beginning of the camp. And then the camp started. Started off with station games. First game - Touch & Go. ThankGod Dharishini was a nice soul and when it was my turn she didn't ask to pass down 1 if not there's a high chance that i'll get wet, LOL. We tied. (: Second Game- Poison Ball. Our team won, i stood at the back so that i won't get hit by the Ball, until NAVIN threw a ball and me towards me and i had to leave. :/ Then it was BBQ time. IT WAS HILARIOUS ALRIGHT. Sat with all the Sec2s. LOL. Felt out of place at first, being the only sec 3 but it was alright in the end, i had lots of fun with them. :D And towards some point, i was laughing too much till i decided to go to a more peaceful place, so i went to sit near the piano, outside the G.O. :D So peaceful. LOL. When Mr.Low came to us and asked what we were doing there, (Hazel&I) We said we were being anti-social for a little while. LOLLLLLL. So we made ourselves useful by getting food for MrLow and some other principal. :D Then the sec2s called me along to join them exercise in the parade square. AFTER DINNER. ROFL. SUPER FUNNY. Walked one round of the parade square and then went to sit at the steps in the parade square and sang. And then i received a call from Shalin to meet Andrew at the showerroom in the darkness. And i was like alone there for 12 mins before Andrew came. LOL. Got briefed on the game, thankGod i wasn't involved in the game because it was sooooooo scary. In darkness, they wer supposed to find 5 items in both the boys and girls toilet. LOL. IN PITCH DARKNESS, and there were people who would scare you in there. And you know un-invited people were in there, like insects. Then i was just leaning on the wall and looking at the stars and i saw a black tinny creature in crawling past, over Melody's slippers. OMGGGGG, IT WAS A RAT ALRIGHT. AND I WAS SCREAMING LIKE SOME MAD WOMAN. LOLLL. Then went to the parade square after the game, cleaned the area, of our station game, and then left to bathe, was already one of the lastone because i and Chastina had to mop the toilets. Bathed, and went to the dance room to sleep. AIRCON. :D It was soooo cold. MAN. COLD. The best part of the camp was the stayover cos of Hazel beside me. ILOVEHERALRIGHT. :D The night was funny. Woke up early the next day, thanks to someone's alarm. 2hours earlier, lol. Walked to the toilet, brushed my teeth and all, went back to the room and packed my bag. Went down to the parade square with HAZEL&JIAWEI. Waited for awhile before Josiah and Navin came down. Prepared breakfast, and it was there, BeeHoon with SoyaBean. :D 30 mins break, so Hazel and I sat at the Sec4 PE area and admired the scenery and the peacefulness. HAHA. Then we got briefed of the next game, 1 left before the end of the camp ended, AMAZING GRACE. First Sation which we had difficulty finding the clue was the Liliput, Went to the liliput, and the task was to burst the balloons to find the next clue, The popping sound was a scare. Haha. Then Joel did all the bursting and after quite some time we managed to find the clue to the next station. 2nd station was fun and relaxing, with all the things we have, form a row of objects. And our team manged to complete it, fast and simple. The team consisted of HAZEL :D, Joel, Stella, Michelle, Somesec2guy, ME. :D Then moved on the the thirs station in the canteen, i didn't complete that station, Hazel didn't too. ;) Then 4th station was in the hall, it was a little more emphasize on teamwork. The girls managed to show that, but the 2 guys just refused. :( First i stepped on Hazel's leg and crossed over the crocodile river, next, i i helped stella to cross the crocodile river. (: The last station, station 5 was in the Fitness Corner. The Simplest Station. And we became 3rd overall. :D Then went to the dance room to take our stuffs, and did area cleaning, i mopped the floor again. LOL. then gathered and debriefed. And left.
This camp was great, except for certain parts.

ThankGod there wasn't any weird activity that we had to do today.
Then FREE PERIOD. I finished ALLLLLLLLL my history assignments. No more over due essays. LOL.
Then SS. Did corrections. & walking put of class, i really lost Sarah alright. I was looking all around class and going 'Sarah!' Where's Sarah?? When she was near the white board but i couldn't see. Haha. :D
Then Recess. IN THE LILIPUT. THANKS SHALIN FOR THE KEY! :D :D :D Had some fun there before heading off to maths.
Maths was boring. :/ Gone through the papers. That was all.

Then off for lunch with JiaWei, then Bestfrienddd came. LOL. Rushed up to the hall for dry-run rehearsal. At the end of the row again! (:? Then excused myself at reaching to 4 to rush for dental and to also meet Shalin later, to get the balloons. (: Then went for dental, last colour! I started my first colour as turquiose and end it also the same colour. Ahahha. Then was reaching MRT station when Shalin called and said we need to get back to school soon. So instead of getting the balloons, we went back to school.

Okay, then left school at 7.30pm! 13 hours in school. OMG. But it was quite alright.
Then Mr Hassan, the malay teacher came to relief. HAHA. Then Mrs Wong came for the next period. ALSO FUNNY. If you had nothing to do, you had to help her sweep the floor and clean the classroom. AHHHHA.
Then Biology next. It was alright i guess. Learned about enzymes, it is interesting. :D
Then TAMIL. To think that tamil is going to be in 40 or 30 or 5 mins makes me sad, but once i see Shalin walk through the door i become happy again. And tamil isn't that bad afterall, because she's around. LESSONS ARE ALWAYS HILARIOUS WITH HER AROUND OKAY. Did some thing in the workbook, and the class was super noisy. Tskkkk. But managed to complete it in time and was allowed to leave when we were done. So Shalin & I were the FIRST to leave, for the first ever tamil class we had this year, LOL.
Then Recess, YingYng said she wasn't well. So i decided to be a good friend and help her sign all the long winded forms. Then went to Mrs Lee to get her signature. OMG I MISS HER BEING MY FORM TEACHERRRR. Talking to her brought back so much memmories. Ahhhh, Then went to the office and laughed so much when the officelady was trying to question YingYng but she couldn't get it and was going huh? almost all the time. LOL. Then YingYng's mother came to pick her up.
Went for History. FUNNNY and not at someparts. Oh didn't i say, i've got no more overdue assignments for History, YAY.
Then English, we did copying or something. Haha.
Then we were supposed to have commitee meeting at 2.30pm.
Ate with the CHOIR CITIZENS. LOL. Then went supposedly to do dry run and all. But then Navin asked me to help him with the collating of money and consent forms.
Then a problem arised. And we tried to solve it, and in the end we did. ThankGod. lol. Had alot of fun with them. Esp with TWINNIE, Navin and the rest, i like council, i should be more specific, PR/WELFARE COMMITEE. :D
Then came home at 6.30.

I woke up today at 8.17 and I was like ohno, hurry i'm late for school. Why didn't aunty wake me up? But then it took me awhile before i realised it was a saturday, and i fell asleep right away. Haha.
I woke up again at 9.45 i think? Got ready for tuition and had tuition. It was alright.
And then started Agapeland, planned a little, and had a few ideas. Then finished it before dinner.

Started off with a longer-than-usual assembly because of total defence day.
Then had SS. The test was alright. But for some reason i was sooo scared out of a sudden and then my hands became super wet, even worse than tamil or lit(games.) And the paper was really wet and it made 7 holes, out of it was was correction-tapable but the 4 just couldn't. It was so scary then all my ink was smurged here and there. I wanted to ask Miss Foo if i could recopy whatever i wrote into a new foolscap, but i didn't, sadly.

And then proceeded to the hall, after that. MrLoo said we got to experience how it was last time so we should not complain. Haha.
Chapel was okay. The Pastor's funny. LOL.
Then after that, Shalin and I went to put our bags in the liliput before leaving to get the logistics. She's real fun to be with. Reach the liliput on time. To only find Jesmond and LeeKuang there. Haha. And only six people turned up for dry-run? :/ The they played the games while i watched, haha.
Then went with Clara, Nicole and Amirah to visit Melody at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Visited and GET WELL REAL SOON K MELODY! Yup, your badge is waiting for you! Haha. The went for cell.
CNY party. ThankGod i missed the games like Wacko and all, because i hate them, :D Then Raydio Sang, played some electricity game and then it ended after that..

Started off the day with my free periods.

Then English. :D Vocab test was alright. & i've handed in all the graded assignments! :DD
Then got released a little late, went to the locker and then realised that my pinky file was in the English room!
Then went up to the room and everything was locked. :( So had to go to the staff room ro call Miss Chye for the key, then waited for a long while, got the key and went up and then took the file.
Waited 10mins for her to come back out to return the key. Tskkk.
By the time it was already 3! Why is the lunch break only 30 mins!!
Then quickly rushed up without having lunch or anything and i was superrrr hungry! But i didn't want to like go late and who knows might have forefit or something,
&then only desmond and I were there?! -.- Yingyng didn't come. :((. Then had lesson on Racism and I passed the graded assignment! After MissAmy gave out a few papers then she was like all these are the people who passed then i was like, she already has given me the paper so i failed? Then i went to check again, but i really pass. LOL. When i took the paper i was so tempted to ask herr if u could go to the canteen to buy something up, i was suppper hungry la! But didn't. I just endured till 4.20. ThankGod, i was alive. (: I learnt my lesson, it's better to be a little late but bring something up with you then to go up on time with an empty stomach. Heh. Because it was difficult to pay attention.
Then after purelit was over met YingYng and then headed to j8! :DDD I asked her to hurry so that i can eattt! :D Once i saw her i became so happy already! :D It's a different feeling from class to class without YingYng , so when i suddenly see her HAPPYHAPPY! ((((:
Then went to eattt, why is food junction closed? :(. No more prata. So went to eat mashed potato instead and got all the things that i needed, talked to her for awhile before heading home.

Had a great dinner last night! ((: Had a real long afternoon nap too, yesterday!
Okay, today was good. It's a school holidayyy! :DDDDDDD.
Woke up, then went to an aunty's house to pass food, and stayed there for awhile.
Then went over to my uncle's house for lunch! :DD Met my cousins, talked, laughed, enjoyed ourselves. Then went to 7-11 to get ice cream and then came back up to eat it! LOL. Then we sent them home.
Went for a long drive and then came back home for dinner. & here am i blogging. :D
I enjoyed myself today, & as promised the pictures has already been up!
Had to reach school at 7! :(. I was a actually on time. -.- Briefed and left with 6 oranges in my bag! LOL.
Then reached the hall. & the bestttttttttesttt thing was to hear mrs lim talk to us, in her sweet tone! It really felttt so good to hear her voice. Argh, i reallyyyyyy miss her & wish she was the DM. :(.
Then had the programme, when to do dumplings. -.- Pictures would be up, promised! :D then went to take pictures outside the GO. It looked like we were like being punished. LOL. Then Mrs Lim came outtt. & we decided to ask her to if we can take a picture with herrrr.
& we did, i even took one with her alone. :DD. We all talked to her for a tiny while before heading back to the canteen to eat our dumpling. It was. LOL.
Then MISS LAN CAMEEEE! Another happy thinggg! :DD. Said hi to her together with Sarah, Jessica, Janeni! :D
Then we went over to KCPPS. & went to find Mdm Tan, caught her in time before she left.
We talked to her for awhilee. And alot of the 6Hope people came too! :DD.
Then went back to KCPSS, to the locker to get all my books out and came home.

I'm so looking forward to this break. It's only Wednesday but i already feeling tireddd.
At least i get to rest, relax, meet up with my cousins and be on track with my work! :D

Came home and had tuition.
I was so tired after tuition that when i came up played my hp game and suddnely fell asleep. LOL.

My Response:
Racism is the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior, discriminatory and/or abusive behavior towards members of another race. Because of the past, when wars were caused because of racism and when fights never failed to take place because people were racist, giving nasty comments to other races, in the present, we learned how to deal with it and so it has transformed our thinking and the future, such that we learn to live in harmony. But even though, we don't face alot of the past we still face it, when children and students choose to be self-centred. For example, The majority of Singaporeans are Chinese. And the minority becomes the Malays and the Indians. You'll never fail to see kids or students playing with the same race than with those of different races as they feel more comfortable with people of their colour colour skin. So that they do not feel different than the rest of their friends. Secondly, even though the universal language is english, if you're mixing only with friends of your own race, you'll more likely to speak our language, be it Chinese whuch is the most common case, Malay or Tamil. In the classroom when most of the students are chinese, students would always want to speak their own language mostly Chinese, Making the Malays and Indians feel out of place in the classroom.
Being an mixed - Indian&Eurasian, there are times when i feel offended or out of place, for example, when you're in the classroom and one of your classmates passes a comment over to the other side of the class (most of the time in Chinese.) and you always wonder what the person have said. Was it something good or bad? And there are many times when we feel out of place. When we mix with our Chinese friends, since most of them know the language, they tend to talk to one another in Chinese and i never get to know what they have mentioned about.
I've noticed that young children are actually brought up in a way where they learn to speak Chinese more often than English. They also during their early school days (Kinder1&2), make with people their own race. At that age, if they don't get exposed to learning and playing with people of other races, then how are these children to grow up and not be racist towards other races? Children should learn to mix and play around with children from other races and also be taught english from a young age, so that when they reach Primary school, they aren't racist towards other children. And it would help everyone from every race to live in harmony!

I wasn't paying attention in SS because after SS was TAMIL. :( It's like why must time pass so fasst? I think we learned about the Vehicle Quota System and the ERP system. SS test was postponed to Tuesday instead.
Then went for TAMIL. omggggggg. SO SCARY OKAY. Luckily i listened to Rajam and didn't turn behind to watch the comotion. Please say tuesday's tamil is a single period!?
Then it was Chemistry. The test was difficulttt. I know the facts from the textbook but when i see a experiment, i don't really kno how to answer the question. Haiz. But PRACTICAL was fun! The Bunsern Burnner's scary. & the SALT WAS SO COOL. REAL COOL.
Other than it kept splattering till i decided to leave my table. :/ Then recess.
Left with 10 mins, but still went looking for Shalin. Saw her and went for recess. Talked alottt. &then went for POA.
The test questions wer'nt clearly stated. Like unclear, but it was alright. :D
Chapel next. It was good. PATIENT
Lunched with Sarah, Jessica, & XinLin. TSK i kept dirting my blouse with the gravy of the MeeSiam. LOL. stain here and there.
Then went for INFOCOMM. REALLY GLAD TO BE IN THE CCA! The new studio is really like a recording studio. It's like really the best! LEARNED ALOT! :D
Headed to KKH to meet Val & my brother. Reached Novena and i was so hungry that i went to buy donuts and since Val wanted some too so bought a few for all 4 of us to share. :D Then took the shuttle bus to kkh. Met Val at Delifrance and she was like deadbored. Ahaha. Okay then ate, did some work and waited my brother, who took ages to arrive! :(. So we went to order without him and suddenly he arrived. LOL. We laughed so much till... my face like red already. LOLL. Okay. Celebrated Val's Birthday Eve. Just the 3 of usss. :D <3>
Reflection for January 2008. (Using Mrs Chua's Questions.)
1) What did i achieve this month?
I've achieved not alot of things this month, but a few great ones. Firstly, My first Principles Of Accounts Test, i really did well, and i hope it'll remain for the next two years. Secondly, the first week of this month was really good. During the Sec1 Orientation, being able to lead 1Faith. Making new friends with the Sec2 Nominated Councillors and to really build up my leadership skills and make their orintation a fun and enjoyable one. And i myself enjoyed myself quite a bit. During those days i need not have to worry about my class and all that sort. Thirdly, the Council Presentation on Wednesday went quite smoothly, not having any mistakes in the powerpoint and all. && i also did flag raising in week 4. Which went real well. Lastly, i also achieved the GoodProgress Award on friday the 21st. Yup, that's about all.
2) What do you think you could have done /will do better in the coming months?
Firstly, Manage my time better. Being the first month of the year, i'm not as used to the demands of the teachers yet, but i'll get used to it sooner or later. Secondly, i think i should concentrate on finishing my homework first before revising for the test even though they're all on the same days. Thirdly, i need to put in more effort in the subjects that i'm weaker that instead of working on the subjects that i'm better at. Forthly, i shall work really hard because as alot of friends have been saying, they think i can be the top few in class. :D Fifly, i hope to be more tidy, patient and less fearful and more joyful!
