WE ARE ALL HUMANS.

DISCLAIMER: Read this post at your own risk, sorry if this post offends you.

The day/week has been ruined already. JUST BY ONE MEETING, council meeting. I'm currently annoyed/irritated/angry/disappointed/frustrated resulting in blogging such a post.

Many things in today's meeting could be prevented, in fact most. I just feel so frustrated because i had to wake up at such a ungodly hour and get to school, earlier than the rest, just to get scolded, disappointed and frustrated.
And that's called a council meeting, an update on council. IS THAT AN UPDATE? I'd rather than, spend the time, at home resting and regaining more energy for the coming week instead. In everything, i believe that there's a reason behind it. But for today, i didn't see any reason/logic behind most of the mentioned things.

Yes, it was probably our fault that the liliput's in a mess, and that we didn't have any initiative to take action, to help clean the mess that was created. But if everyone did their part wouldn't it be prevented? Everyone human has made mistakes, it could have slipped minds, but i didn't see any point of reacting that way.

That isn't the worse case. Next someone comes in & blows up. It's such a pain to the ears, maybe council meetings should be in a classroom instead, at least the doors & windows would be open, the impact would not be as great as how it is at an indoor, closed place like the Humanities Room or the MPR.
& what was he sharing about? About Mas Salamat's & The 2 humans who escaped in Court. Yes, i do see your point of someone down the line not performing their tasks properly, leading in their escape or attempt to escape. BUT, I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE REACTION HAD TO BE THAT WAY. It wasn't as if IT WAS OUR FAULT, THAT THEY ESCAPED IS IT? Yes, everyone's angry about that. BUT WHY HAVE TO SHOUT AS IF THERE'S NO TOMORROW?! It was seriously loud, and all we can do is listen like as if it was sadly, our fault, and like we had to be blamed for this incident. When it definitely isn't.

I don't understand why it had to be that harsh. Aren't we after all still humans, who make mistakes, learn from mistakes, and move on? Would it help being super harsh on us? I think things would have been much better if things took place in a better tone, if people didn't blow up just like that, which ruined the day/week. A few take home messages that i remembered were simply, 'You're not fit to be a councillor, because you aren't different from the people outside', ' Even after doing so many good things for the school, we have become 0 now because of all the actions done recently'.
Is this supposed to be a council update?
I don't think so AT ALL.

I dread council meetings now, because i know it ain't going to be like how it used to be, i'm quite certain i'm not the only one feeling this way after today's council meeting. Reading other fellow councillor's blog too, make me feel the same way, things would have been better or rather the meeting would have been better, the day would have been better, IF things were handled the right way.

Music, Good or Bad?

I don't normally do this kind of posts, but i thought i shall give it a try. Today during maths, i stopped work at 9 and told myself the remaining 15mins shall be rest, just with my handphone's music in my ears.

So i was just had many wondering thoughts through each song. For some reason, the songs that caught my attention through that 15mins were Simple Plan's. I'm not a desperate fan of theirs but i don't exactly mind listening to their music either. So i just listened, i realised that music (generally) can actually change people's mind in a very drastic way, just like the way someone would be able to drive you to suicide, that would be the case if you're like depressed or something that sort.) But i realised it is when people are emotionally drained/ depressed / stressed, they listen to bands like Simple Plan.

Once again, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Simple Plan is bad, because i do listen to it too. But for songs like these, i don't pay attention to the lyrics. But today, i did pay attention to it, i wanted to know why people actually write songs like these? Imagine someone thinking of taking his/her life and then decides to turn the player on to Simple Plan's and suddenly 'Jump' plays. It would be like some confirmation to take his/her life. This isn't like the only song.

Wondering, i decided to go to Simple Plan's album and played every song to take notice of the lyrics and then thought to myself, what on earth is the world becoming? Songs playing that if you can't take it, just give up. Or songs that say Jump! As long as you can't handle it. Everything is like in a negative way, what has happened to most of the postive songs, telling you to endure, to not give up. Where are those love songs, why are all these emo/depressing songs so popular, at least to teenagers?

I imagined people actually taking their lives, just maybe because they can't that the pressure, the sorrows, or whatever that sort. So they result listening to music like this, and what does the song tell them to do? Die.

So why do people write music/songs like these? One thing's for sure, this ain't happy music you should be listening to if you aren't in the right mood. I know for me, i don't normally follow these kind of musics and i know i make sure that this kind of music does not teach me any negative things in anyway.

Some of their songs are this sort, but some are nice too. So you should not be paying attention to those negative songs, but listen to the nice ones, like Welcome to my life?

What's your opinon on this kind of music? Are you a fan of these kind of emo music?
I shall end of with the lyrics to show you as an example, if you want to listen to the song, find it in youtube, i'm not going to upload it into my blog. :)

Jump

I don’t wanna wake up today
Cuz every day’s the same
And
I’ve been waiting so long
For things to change

I’m sick of this
town
Sick of my job
Sick of my friends cuz everyone’s jaded
Sick of
this
place
I wanna break free
I’m so frustrated

I just wanna
jump
(jump)
Don’t wanna think about tomorrow (jump)
I just don’t
care tonight
I just wanna jump (jump)
Don’t wanna think about my sorrow
Let’s go
whoa
Forget your problems
I just wanna jump

I
don’t wanna wake
up one day
And find out it’s too late
To do all the
things I wanna do
So I’m gonna pack up my bags
I’m never comin back
Cuz the years are
passin by
And I'm wasting all my t-t-time

I’m sick of this house
Sick of bein broke
Sick of this town
that’s bringin me down
I’m Sick
of this place
I wanna break free
I’m so frustrated

I just wanna
jump (jump)
Don’t wanna think
about tomorrow (jump)
I just don’t care
tonight
I just wanna jump
(jump)
Don’t wanna think about my sorrow
Let’s go woah
Forget your
problems
I just wanna jump

I just
wanna jump

I can’t
take it anymore
I can’t take it anymore
I
can’t take it anymore
Can’t take it any
Can’t take it any
Can’t take
it (take it
anymore)
Forget tomorrow

I just wanna jump (jump)
Don’t wanna
think about tomorrow (jump)
I just don’t care tonight
I
just wanna
jump (jump)
Don’t wanna think about my sorrow
Let’s go whoa
Forget
your problems
I just let them go whoa
Forget tomorrow
I
just
wanna jump (jump)
I just wanna jump (jump)
Yeah
I just wanna
jump (jump)
I just wanna jump

Is this what you are supposed to do when you can't manage, Jump?
Please think twice if you said yes.

Conflicts after conflicts. & i did quite well in the latest SS test too.(: Haha, that's all for this month. I said i hate this month! ThankGod, its over.

2) What do you think you could have done /will do better in the coming months?

- Do well for Common Test.
- Start clearing my room too.

Memories?

I was looking at Miss Foo's blog aka SS Buddy,
& the recent post about SriLanka.

Well, i don't really know much,
we've not started on the chapter,
and i've not been there to witness all these,
and i don't really know much about the conflict,

but watching the video,
actually reminded me of East Timor,
Be it before or after the war,
it looked similar.
(the state of the country & the people living there & their living conditions.)

Their faces on the video, looked similar to the faces of the people in ET.
& all the fighting and all reminded me of the portugese war (i saw that in the ET video.)
& all the injured people, and those bloody (really full of blood) bodies, didn't that also happen in ET?
& all the homeless children, who have lost their parents in the war, & adults who influence them to fight, for revenge on their dead who fight now, also reminded me of the amount of orphanages in ET, and how they grow up only to realise that they have no family, as their parents have died in the war, or worse, thanks to the low medical help in ET, not many of them survive till their first birthday, or even the first day of their lives. Isn't it similar to ET?

The only difference i see is today, ET is a young and happy small independent nation, even though, they still have poverty issues, homeless children and people, and thorn down buildings and pavements and roads, they still lead a much better life now. With most children having a school to go to and now they're able to enjoy their childhood, even if it is not as enjoyable as ours, they still are satisfied and contented with what they have (just a small piece of grass, where they call a field, and village children come together for a game of soccer), there is a difference now, in the lives of this children, even as simple as it is.
But for the people in SriLanka, i see a similar situation, but i guess nothing's changing. No one's moving on, everyone's interested in killing one another in the civil war, and till today this is happening, and all the children there, have been deprived of their childhood, and instead are holding guns and bullets and asked to fight. Is this the way that children should spend their childhood - killing one another? Why aren't countries doing anything to step in to stop then? It was said that, Norway came for a year to intervene and left, but they definately did not managed to bring peace to this country. Would this war ever end? If EastTimor, is moving on step at a time, with countries help, then why can't SriLanka too?

Let's just keep praying that SriLankans would be able to realise about that the civil war is just killing innocent lives, and leading to more problems, affecting more people. If EastTimor has peace through God's help, i'm sure SriLanka would too.

Stop killing all those innocent lives!

Ahhh, i'm getting too interested in this chapter,
Why are SS lessons only twice a week?

Reflections.

Reflection for March 2008.
(Using Mrs Chua's Questions.)

1) What did i achieve this month?

Hmmm, i trying to think of the archievements i had this month, maybe just a few. Oh right, the one i remember is the video!(: & how this being the first time i didn't give up while doing/editing it. & which i received many comments for. And lastly, being able to restore friendships with friends also. Which seemed rather impossible at first, but now, possible. I guess this is all Iarchieved this month, as there wasn't much of tests for this month and it was basically better than Feb.

2) What do you think you could have done /will do better in the coming months?

Firstly, Start working hard for CA1! I've actually started actually, and secondly, still try to quickly adapt to 3Faith, its a really different class compared with 2 Truth? I'm still very usedto responding during assembly when they call2 Truth. Haha. Thirdly, Stop fearing and worrying but believe and enjoy?

I hope i can achieve them all.

Reflections

Reflection for January 2008.
(Using Mrs Chua's Questions.)

1) What did i achieve this month?

I've achieved not alot of things this month, but a few great ones. Firstly, My first Principles Of Accounts Test, i really did well, and i hope it'll remain for the next two years. Secondly, the first week of this month was really good. During the Sec1 Orientation, being able to lead 1Faith. Making new friends with the Sec2 Nominated Councillors and to really build up my leadership skills and make their orintation a fun and enjoyable one. And i myself enjoyed myself quite a bit. During those days i need not have to worry about my class and all that sort. Thirdly, the Council Presentation on Wednesday went quite smoothly, not having any mistakes in the powerpoint and all. && i also did flag raising in week 4. Which went real well. Lastly, i also achieved the GoodProgress Award on friday the 21st.
Yup, that's about all.

2) What do you think you could have done /will do better in the coming months?

Firstly, Manage my time better. Being the first month of the year, i'm not as used to the demands of the teachers yet, but i'll get used to it sooner or later. Secondly, i think i should concentrate on finishing my homework first before revising for the test even though they're all on the same days. Thirdly, i need to put in more effort in the subjects that i'm weaker that instead of working on the subjects that i'm better at. Forthly, i shall work really hard because as alot of friends have been saying, they think i can be the top few in class. :D Fifly, i hope to be more tidy, patient and less fearful and more joyful!

I hope i can achieve them all(:
